Wear it with intention
Every wrist mala deserves a fit that feels as purposeful as it looks. Use this guide to find the size that sits perfectly against your skin, day and night.
Your perfect fit, at a glance
Our wrist malas are sized by three interconnected elements — wrist circumference, bead diameter, and bead count — each carefully balanced for both visual harmony and comfort.
| Size | Wrist (cm) | Bead Size | Bead Count | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 16–17 cm | 8 mm | 21 beads | A slender, delicate presence on the wrist |
| M Most Popular | 17–18 cm | 10 mm | 18 beads | A balanced, everyday wear |
| L | 19–20 cm | 10 mm | 21 beads | A generous fit with full presence |
| XL | 21–22 cm | 9 mm | 27 beads | An expansive, layered look |
Wrist measurements refer to circumference. If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more relaxed wear, or contacting us for a custom fit.
Three steps to precision
Accurate sizing begins with a careful measurement. It takes under a minute, and makes all the difference.
Gather a soft tape or string
A soft measuring tape is ideal. If you don't have one, a piece of thread or cord works equally well — simply wrap it and measure against a ruler.
Wrap at your intended wear point
Position the tape around the part of your wrist where you plan to wear the mala. Hold it snug — flat against the skin — without compressing.
Note the measurement in centimetres
Round to the nearest half-centimetre and match to the size chart above. When between sizes, consider your preferred fit before deciding.
A mala that moves with you
There is no single right answer — fit is personal. Here's how to think about it.
Snug Fit
Choose your exact size for a close, secure feel. Ideal for meditation and active wear where stillness of the mala matters.
Relaxed Fit
Size up for a flowing, layered look. Allows the mala to shift naturally with movement — perfect for stacking with other pieces.

Everything you need to know
Still unsure? Our most frequently asked sizing questions are answered here.
How do I measure my wrist accurately at home?
Use a soft measuring tape and wrap it around the point on your wrist where you intend to wear the mala. If you don't have a tape, a piece of string works just as well — wrap it around your wrist, mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat against a ruler. Measure in centimetres for the most precise result.
What if my wrist measurement falls between two sizes?
We recommend considering your preferred fit first. If you like the mala to sit close and still against your wrist, choose the smaller size. If you prefer a looser, more relaxed feel — or if you plan to layer your mala — size up. Still unsure? Our team is happy to advise.
Can I order a wrist mala with a loose or relaxed fit?
Absolutely. When placing your order, share your exact wrist measurement along with a note about your preferred fit — snug, relaxed, or somewhere in between. Our makers will craft accordingly.
Are custom sizes available for wrist malas?
Yes. Custom sizing is available for most of our wrist mala styles, subject to bead type and design. Simply share your wrist measurement and your preference when ordering, and we'll work with you to create the ideal fit.
Can wrist malas be customised beyond sizing?
Yes — many of our wrist malas can be personalised in bead size, bead type, and design details, depending on the style you choose. Reach out before ordering and our team will guide you through the available options.
Is the bead count significant in a wrist mala?
Yes. The bead counts in our malas — 18, 21, and 27 — are traditional numbers with roots in contemplative practice. Each is a division of 108, the sacred number in many meditative traditions. The count is chosen not only for fit, but for meaning.
